Fair Use Policy
All record.so plans include unlimited recording, unlimited views and unlimited bandwidth. This page explains what we consider normal use, the soft guidelines we use to keep the service fast for everyone, and the one hard limit: team size.
Fair use
- Sharing recordings with teammates, clients and customers
- Embedding videos in your docs, help center or website
- Answering support questions with a recording
- Collecting videos from clients and candidates with a request page
- One company or team, up to 10 people on Pro and 25 on Studio across the workspaces you own
Not fair use
- Uploading videos that were not recorded with record.so
- Hosting images or video for a website, blog or app as a media CDN
- Sharing one workspace across separate, unrelated organizations
- Reselling record.so, or offering it to third parties as part of your own service
- Automated or bulk uploading
Usage guidelines
Most people stay well within these ranges. They are soft limits. We do not block accounts. If your usage goes far outside them, we will email you and work something out, as long as you are not abusing the platform.
Screenshots do not count toward these limits.
Team size
These are plan limits, not guidelines. Pro covers up to 10 people and Studio up to 25, across all the workspaces you own, counted once each. Larger teams get a price of their own.
