Do viewers need an account?
No. Watching, commenting, reacting and replying to a request all work without signing up.
Is there a watermark or a length limit?
No watermark on the video and no length limit, on the free plan too.
How long are videos kept?
On Free, 60 days. After that the recording is archived, not deleted, and comes back if you upgrade. Pro and Studio keep videos forever. Screenshots are kept forever on every plan.
Can I record without uploading anything?
Yes. Pick "This device only" and the recording never leaves your computer, in up to 4K.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes, with a desktop app for each. Chrome and Edge have an extension, and the plain browser works with nothing installed.
Where are videos stored?
In private storage. Playback only happens through short-lived signed URLs, so links cannot be guessed or probed.
Record
Do I need an account to record?
No. Recording in the browser works without one. Anonymous links last 24 hours and can be claimed by signing up.
Which browsers work?
The extension runs in Chrome and Edge. The browser recorder works in Firefox and Safari too, though there the camera bubble is not composited into the recording.
Can I keep a recording off the cloud?
Yes. Choose "This device only" and the recording stays on your computer, in up to 4K.
Analytics
Can it identify anonymous viewers?
A viewer is named when they open a per-recipient link or enter an email. Otherwise they show as an anonymous session, still with completion and rewatch data.
Do Slack previews count as views?
No. Unfurls, bots and your own plays are filtered out.
Call to action
Can I use one call to action on many videos?
Yes. Create it once and attach it to any videos in your library.
Does the email gate annoy people who already gave their email?
No. Known viewers skip it.

Do respondents need an account?
No. They open the link, record, and send.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Camera recording works on phones. Screen sharing is not available on iOS.
Plans
Does Pro charge per person?
No. Pro is one price and covers up to 10 people across all the workspaces you own, however you spread them. Studio covers up to 25. Need more? Contact us and we will price it for your team.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free is the full recorder for one person: unlimited recordings at 1080p, no watermark, unlimited views, videos kept for 60 days. Pro adds up to 10 people across your workspaces, permanent videos, named viewers and rewatch strips, calls to action, unlimited requests, three workspaces, branding and member roles.
Who is Studio for?
Agencies, consultants and anyone who records for clients. Studio has everything in Pro for up to 25 people and 10 workspaces, plus priority support. Pages and a custom domain are coming to Studio next.
What happens to my videos after 60 days on Free?
They are archived, not deleted. The link stops working until you upgrade, and everything comes back with Pro.
Is there really no limit on views or bandwidth?
None, on Free too. Our fair use policy explains what normal use looks like; nobody is blocked for being popular.
How long do links last without an account?
Anonymous links last 24 hours. Sign up and the recording becomes yours.
What does Pro cost?
$12 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly, for up to 10 people across your workspaces. Studio is $29 a month, or $24 billed yearly. During the beta every verified account has Pro for free, and founding members lock in a discount when billing starts.
Is there a watermark on free videos?
No. Free videos have no watermark and record in 1080p. The only branding is a small record.so badge on embeds, which Pro and Studio remove.
